ISOLA DEL PRINCIPE EDOARDO

(1798-1873)

Dopo la perdita di Fort Beauséjour da parte dei francesi nel 1755, gli inglesi annetterono l'Île Saint-Jean nel 1758. Nel 1798, "l'Isola di San Giovanni" fu ribattezzata Isola del Principe Edoardo in onore del quarto figlio del re Giorgio III. Il 1° luglio 1873 l'Isola del Principe Edoardo entrò a far parte della Confederazione canadese..
