Guglielmo Marconi (1874-1937) est un physicien, inventeur et homme d'affaires italien. Il est considéré comme l’un des inventeurs de la radio et de la télégraphie sans fil. Avec Ferdinand Braun, il est colauréat du prix Nobel de physique de 1909 « en reconnaissance de ses contributions au développement de la télégraphie sans fil ».
