Lancé au début 2010, ‘America the beautiful’ est un programme de frappe de 56 monnaies commémoratives de 1/4 dollar illustrant les parcs nationaux et d’autres sites nationaux des États-Unis d’Amérique.
Le Block Island National Wildlife Refuge a été fondé en 1973 sur l’île de de Block Island au large de l’état de Rhode Island. C’est un important refuge pour oiseaux.
Ce lot contient une monnaie de chacun des trois ateliers émetteurs (3 monnaies au total) : Philadelphie, Denver et San Francisco.
